Venipuncture is one of the common means of testing and treatment in the clinic. It seems to be a very simple action, but when it comes to some patients with small veins, dark skin, excessive subcutaneous fat or severe blood loss and dehydration, it is difficult to directly observe and distinguish the veins with the naked eye, which is also a challenging task. The treatment or resuscitation will be delayed if the nursing staff fails to puncture or repeats the puncture.

Statistically, the failure rate of venipuncture on the first attempt is:10%-20% for adults and 40% for children. Among which, 58% of these patients are dissatisfied with the level of venipuncture performed by nurses. Using the principle that hemoglobin in blood absorbs near-infrared light better than other tissues, the Vein Finder System (ZD-JM-260-05) can be processed by digital imaging technology to accurately restore the image of blood vessels one-to-one and projected on the skin surface to help nurses accurately perform venipuncture, which can significantly improve the success rate of puncture.
